When Brittany Fadiora was a college student expecting her first child, she became a birth assistant to better understand the care she would experience herself. That curiosity became a career supporting families and preparing others to do the same.
Together, Brittany and Tunji Fadiora grew Mumda, a doula agency in North Florida, managing a team of more than 15 doulas. They handled the everyday work behind care delivery—from matching families with doulas and coordinating schedules to education, marketing, and business operations.
They went on to found Beam Birth Network, a training and certification organization focused on developing doulas. Their work expanded from running an agency to preparing more people to support families in their own communities.
Across both organizations, they saw how closely education, professional support, and program operations were connected. Doulas needed support to build sustainable careers. Organizations needed better ways to coordinate care, manage documentation, and demonstrate their impact.
That experience led to Doulio: training, certification, and software shaped by the realities of delivering doula care. Organizations can choose training, software, or both, based on what their communities need.
Doulio began with the work they had been doing by hand: matching families with doulas, keeping records, getting paid, and reporting to funders. Working alongside the leaders of doula programs, Brittany and Tunji turned those workflows into a platform that brings doulas, clients, documentation, billing, training, and reporting together in one place.
Today, Doulio is a software company as much as a training organization. Doula agencies, community-based organizations, nonprofits, and maternal health programs use the platform with or without Doulio training, and each new tool is shaped by what doula programs need day to day.

Brittany brings more than a decade of experience in birth work, doula education, and maternal health programs. Her work spans supporting families, training doulas, and helping organizations develop community-based doula programs. That experience shapes Doulio’s approach to preparing doulas and supporting the organizations they work with.

Tunji Fadiora
Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer
Tunji brings experience in doula business operations, entrepreneurship, and startup development. Alongside Brittany, he helped grow Mumda and co-founded Beam Birth Network, gaining firsthand experience with the business of delivering care and preparing doulas. His background also includes co-founding ELEV8 Ventures and leading accelerator programs that help entrepreneurs build and grow their businesses.
